Water Damage Mold

If your basement has flood damage or have pools of water in the basement, you want to check for water damage mold. Mold and water were just made for each other and any time you have substances that have increased periods of exposure to moist environments, you are have the potential for mold to build.

As a residential appraiser, I have seen my share of mold build up in properties. Many of these homes have been foreclosed and the occupants either leave the water running in the bath tubs to overflow them, dismantle the sump pumps, or there is just regular misfortune and water builds up in the property.

Water Damage Mold

Basements can be ruined by water damage and mold. I have seen three and four feet of water sitting in a basement of a house I was to appraise. I couldn’t or wouldn’t even go into that basement. They had to drain the basement so I could examine. Likely, I found large amounts of water damage and mold in the drywall. The think about mold is that it will spread to other areas of drywall that wasn’t effect by the water.

This is why water damage and mold must be dealt with and removed immediately.
